“Today, in our field, there is so much talent and recognition that we are reaching a saturation point. An artist should no longer strive only for breathtaking craftsmanship; he should, instead, try to help us live better, either by dressing the wounds that are constantly being opened by society, or by offering solutions to get us out of the mess we’re in…But it’s going to be difficult and we have a lot of work to do.” - Jean 'Moebius' Giraud

I will be at HEROES CON - Charlotte, NC. June 22-24 at Artist Alley Table# 617 this coming weekend along with the ESSENTIAL SEQUENTIAL crew.

I've had nothing but glowing things to say about this show since the first time I've attended a few years back, and I can honestly say that if I were to miss attending every show during the convention season except for this one.. well, that would be just fine with me.

Please come and visit if you can. I'll be selling original art, copies of CHOCOLATE and of course, ENCORE (which has the bonus of a free B&W sketch to the first thirteen buyers of the book at the show). Also, for those interested, my commission list has a few slots open. This year I promise to be more studious with my table time so that I'll have your image done by the show's end.

Promise. Promise? Heh.

The images above are a handful of pre-show commissions that have been set up so that I can stay ahead of the curve before the craziness starts - all of them in the vein of the "In The Spirit Of..." policy I set up a while ago. I hope the people who asked for them are happy with my interpretations. It's also a great way for me to get into the proper head space so that by the time I get to the convention floor, I'll hit the ground running.

Hope you all have a wonderful, creative week. And please don't forget to donate and participate in the HEROES CON FUN RUN. It's a worthwhile cause and a fine way to get your portfolio reviewed on Sunday.

Thanks again and I'll see you all there.
