“Today, in our field, there is so much talent and recognition that we are reaching a saturation point. An artist should no longer strive only for breathtaking craftsmanship; he should, instead, try to help us live better, either by dressing the wounds that are constantly being opened by society, or by offering solutions to get us out of the mess we’re in…But it’s going to be difficult and we have a lot of work to do.” - Jean 'Moebius' Giraud

Heart crash. Hard drive crash. Personal life crash. Inner circle crash. Mental stability crash. Too many crashes this month, man. Too f*cking many.

My apologies for the lackluster frequency of updates. There are drawings on my drafting table, but none of them are fit nor allowed for upload - it's all part of a body of work that I'll end up talking about here later on. But for now those images are in the vault.

Until then, here are some rough sketches that never made it to the ink stage. I know, I know - they're really weak considering it's been a while since the last update (almost a month now? Yikes!). Again, my apologies, folks; things just keep getting in the way, yeah? Anyway, they're all on loose leaf paper because I can't maintain a sketchbook to save my life.

Also, I think this will be it for this year by way of new stuff. I've got to repair some of those crashes that I mentioned above and that's just going to take all of my time and effort. Ugh. So just in case we don't get to see each other before then - Happy Holidays, everyone. And have a very safe and glorious New Year.

Love the Three Bears, but that definitely is not Goldie Locks with them.

Sorry to hear about all the crashes and best of luck sorting through them.

It was great seeing you this year at the Boston show and getting a chance to break bread and chat.

Have a very merry christmas, a happy new year and I hope to see you at a con or two in 2010.

Cheers, Brian.

I'm sorry to hear all this Eric. It certainly doesn't look like it has effected your work, but I'm sure you feel it has.

All things, good or bad must come to an end my friend. Look onto the new year with fresh opportunities--they're there!
