“Today, in our field, there is so much talent and recognition that we are reaching a saturation point. An artist should no longer strive only for breathtaking craftsmanship; he should, instead, try to help us live better, either by dressing the wounds that are constantly being opened by society, or by offering solutions to get us out of the mess we’re in…But it’s going to be difficult and we have a lot of work to do.” - Jean 'Moebius' Giraud

IVY_90 minutes

I know she's supposed to be green, but I only had purples and pink markers. Sure I could've adjusted on Photoshop, but what for? What I *should* have adjusted is her left leg - that foot wouldn't even be visible in this pose. Amateur.

Haven't posted anything new in the past couple days - as it has been uniquely busy at work - and this image is no exception. I finished this a while (a while) back along with another colored Batgirl image, but this one seems more appropriate (the other one was a bit too 'cheesecake' looking back on it).

I'll have new stuff next week. Promise.

I think this was in the stack of drawings you showed me at APE, it looks familiar. I've always liked Ivy and I think you capture her spirit really well here. Creepy and sensual at the same time.

hey eric, i think ivy is supposed to be green but you probably only had purple and pink markers like the clothes in your closet. i guess you coudl have adjsuted it in photoshop. But what you SHOULD have done was adjust her left foot. that woudlnt even be visible in this pose.

also, i hope you post some batgirl pictures soon, but please nothing too cheesecake.

oh well, youre probably uniquely busy at work. and this image is no exception. it looks like you did it a while ( A WHILE) back.

anyways, great art as always.

You need to show that batgirl mang!!

bko - thanks!

jon - i can't show you anything "old that's supposed to be new" after i showed you those originals, man! you'll remember all of them! heh.

dutin - wow, man...that's very well said. i think that's the most intelligent post i've ever seen you write. it almost seems like you damn near plagerized someone else's words and just tried to be funny with it. tried.

and the batgirl image will have to wait until later when i've run out of things to post - which i'm hoping won't be for a while.

I don't think I've ever seen Ivy done up in a different palette. This is a gorgeous take, E. I also love the organic flow of the lines.

Since you only had Pink and Purple markers you could've just lied and said that this was the Black Orchid...which is what I thought when I saw this image.
Fantastic 90 minute images.
Been enjoying your NYC mech covers as well.

dustin - aw, man. i wasn't bein' mean. i'm sorry if i hurt your feeling. donkey.

matt - you're right. should've just lied. heh. thanks for looking through the blog and the compliments about the covers. much appreciated.

julia - thanks, gal. work's maintaining its break-neck pace, so nothing too crazy by way of 90 minute sketches from me for a few days.

bob - thanks stopping by, man.
